🚜🚒 TOUCH-A-TRUCK IS COMING TO MVES! 🚛🚌 Bring the whole family out for a fun, hands-on morning at Mount Vernon Elementary’s Touch-A-Truck on Saturday, October 17th from 10:00 AM–12:00 PM! This event is open to kids of all ages, but our elementary-aged friends are especially going to love getting an up-close look at some BIG and exciting vehicles! Children will have the opportunity to climb aboard, explore, sit in, and check out a variety of trucks and community vehicles they may normally only get to see from a distance. 🚒🚜🚌🚛 Because this is an interactive Touch-A-Truck event, guests should expect loud horns, engines, sirens, and flashing lights throughout the event. Families of children who are sensitive to loud sounds, bright or flashing lights, or large crowds should please plan accordingly. Bringing headphones or other sensory supports may be helpful for some children. For everyone’s safety, adult supervision is required at all times. Parents and guardians should remain with their children while they are climbing on, entering, or exploring the vehicles and follow any directions given by our vehicle operators and volunteers. The best part? All proceeds will help fund our Inclusive Playground at MVES! By coming out for a morning of fun, you are also helping us work toward a playground where children of all abilities can play, explore, and belong together. 📅 Saturday, October 17, 2026 ⏰ 10:00 AM–12:00 PM 📍 Mount Vernon Elementary 🚗 Parking: $5.00 — Cash only or checks payable to MVES PTG 🥞 Sausage and pancakes will also be available for purchase on site! On Friday, our first grade Mustangs enjoyed a fun-filled day at Barti Mae Farm! From playing with friends and visiting the animals to taking a hayride and picking pumpkins, there were smiles all around!
