On Friday, our 4th grade students explored Great Saltpetre Cave on an exciting field trip! Our students spotted more than 5 bats and got to experience history coming to life as they explored the cave. Students learned about the cave’s fascinating history, including how saltpeter was mined there and used during the War of 1812, and how the cave has been an important part of the area’s history for hundreds of years. They also learned about the unique formations and environment found underground. What a fun day of learning, exploring, and making memories outside the classroom! Our kindergarteners celebrated the end of ABC Bootcamp with an Alphabet Parade! They’ve studied all the letters and their sounds and are now ready to begin UFLI. Soon, they’ll be blending sounds and reading words! We’re so proud of our little Mustangs! ❤️🐴🖤

Miss Bobbie ‘s class participated in a activity to discuss at motivation. We discussed our past present and future motivators with each other. Then we got to watch some videos on motivating people like Malala Ezra Fech, Terri Fox, and William Kwambe.

A Community of Helpers! ❤️ It is so heartwarming to see the ways our families and community members continue to show up for our children and our community. We have been blessed once again this week with some AMAZING community helpers who are wonderful examples of what it means to be safe, kind, caring, and dependable people. The last two weeks have been so special for our preschool program! Our little Mustangs have had opportunities for hands-on learning and real-life experiences with people who serve and care for others every single day. More importantly, our children are learning that they are surrounded by safe people who have their backs AND their hearts. We are incredibly thankful for every family member and community helper who has taken time to visit, teach, encourage, and love on our preschoolers. Vibrant learning at its finest! Yesterday, our MVES FRC after-school enrichment students took an exciting field trip to the technology showcase at The Center! The students spent the day exploring cutting-edge technology up close—interacting with humanoid robots, hanging out with a robotic dog, seeing 3D printers and autonomous mowers in action, and checking out real helicopters, drones, and flight simulators. It was an inspiring, fun-filled day of discovery for our future innovators! ❤️🐴🖤 #MustangPride

Character, leadership, and teamwork in action! Mrs. Vanessa’s 3rd grade PE class put their communication, collaboration, and leadership skills to work as they tackled the challenge of “Crossing the Toxic River.” Working together as a team, students practiced being Effective Communicators and Active Collaborators—Portrait of a Rocket characteristics—while also putting two Leader in Me habits into action: Be Proactive and Begin With the End in Mind. Each team had only one step-box “log” and one poly-dot “boulder” for each team member to safely make it across the river. Success required communication, planning, cooperation, and thinking ahead! Character, leadership, and teamwork were on full display in PE! ❤️🐴🖤 #MustangPride

Mrs. Tressie’s second grade class has been working hard in their classroom leadership roles! Every two weeks, students earn a paycheck for their work, attendance, and stellar behavior. Friday was class store day! Students counted their money, chose items within their budgets, and made their purchases independently. What a fun way to practice leadership and money skills!
