This past week, Mrs. Shepherd’s first grade class learned about being a class family, building friendships, and being a leader. They wrapped up the week by making a Friendship Salad! The ingredients included kindness, sharing, respectful words, hard work, and happiness. Students promised to bring these ingredients into their classroom every day. They decided to leave out one ingredient—the rotten banana! They agreed there is no room for bad words, hurtful actions, or unkindness in their class family. It’s going to be a great year! ❤️🐴🖤 #MustangPride

Mrs. Tabitha’s fourth grade class enjoyed the read-aloud The Legend of Rock, Paper, Scissors! After listening to the story, students were given three different scenarios and had to choose whether they would be Rock, Paper, or Scissors. They finished the activity with a fun Rock, Paper, Scissors competition. ❤️🐴🖤 #MustangPride

Last year, our Mustang Archery Team earned invitations to compete at the State Tournament and Eastern Nationals! Mrs. Lyndsey & Ms. Hallie’s homerooms put their teamwork to the test with a fun paper chain challenge! 🔗✨ Students worked together to see which class could create the longest chain while practicing collaboration, communication, and sharing ideas. It was a fun way to build teamwork and strengthen our classroom community! ❤️🐴🖤 #MustangPride

The second phase of our inclusive playground is officially installed, and it was so special to see so many of our Mustangs enjoying it on the very first day of school! A huge thank you to the countless Mustang families and community members who supported this project and held fundraisers to help make it possible. This is what happens when we work together! Mrs. Regina, our FRC Coordinator, helped make Open House extra special last week! LeeAnn Collins and Lorenzo Cortez were the lucky Kids Summer Fair winners who received new bikes. During both Open House nights, Mrs. Regina also hosted a Lucky Ducky Hunt, with a total of 35 prizes handed out to our Mustangs!
