The MVES Student Lighthouse Team along with the entire student body conducted a drive to collect items to make hygiene bags for students placed into foster care. We partnered with RCHS FCCLA and were able to donate 100 bags to this cause.

MVES Mustangs Continue to Lead with Habit 3!
During the month of December, MVES Mustangs focused on Habit 3: Put First Things First! One student from each homeroom was selected for demonstrating this habit by prioritizing responsibilities, managing time wisely, and staying focused on what matters most. These Mustangs showed the importance of making smart choices and taking responsibility each day. Keep up the great work, Mustangs!

Fifth grade students rocked their recent Winter I-Ready diagnostic! We are so proud of all of our students’ growth! We want to shout out Griffin Williams for achieving the highest math and reading score in 5th grade, Bentley Williams for achieving the highest growth for 5th grade reading, and Cullen Smith for achieving the highest growth for 5th grade math.

Mrs. Callahan and Mrs. Tressie’s second graders earned i-Ready awards today for math and reading growth, highest scores, blue and green scores, and meeting typical and stretch growth goals. We are so proud of their dedication and hard work! Way to go!

Mr. Brown and Ms. Kandace celebrated their third graders growth from the Winter iReady diagnostic. Students who met their reading and math goals were awarded certificates. Students who had the highest overall scores and those with the highest overall growth have their banners hung in the hallway.

Our MVES Academic Team had a great showing at their final league meet. ❤️🖤
MVES Black won both rounds of quick recall against Roundstone, and MVES Red also played two very competitive matches.
All nine team members placed in their content area tests.
In Arts and Humanities, Allie Mullins placed first, with Bonnie Price and Korie Davidson earning spots in the top ten.
In Social Studies, Emmett Rigsby placed second, Beau Adams placed third, and Isabelle McGuire and RG Smith finished in the top ten.
In Math, Cannon Whittamore earned first place, with Ollie Smith also placing in the top ten.

The MVES Mustang Archers bounced back from winter break this weekend posting some impressive scores and personal growth! Our team placed fourth in the elementary division!
Our most on target performance came from fifth grader, Tanner Brock-Mason, earning a personal best score of 229! He earned 8th place in the elementary boys division!
Cace McClure also had an impressive showing with a score of 221, earning his personal best score!
