Officer Parker made one Mustang’s day in the best way!
He spent time with Jeremiah, who looks up to him as a true role model—letting him check out the cruiser and sharing some unforgettable moments.
It’s the little things that leave the biggest impact. Thank you, Officer Parker, for being such a positive role model for our students!

Thanks to our students, our teachers showed up proudly “inked” for Tattoo a Teacher Day!
From silly to sweet, the tattoos made for plenty of laughs and lots of Mustang spirit throughout the day. Our staff wore them with pride and good humor, and the students loved seeing their teachers join in on the fun!

Derby Week fun in Mrs. Daisy’s class and Mrs. Maegan’s 1st grade class has been one for the books! 🐎💐

April brought lots of creativity to our classroom as we celebrated National Poetry Month. Mrs. Shepherd’s first graders spent the month diving into poetry—writing acrostic, haiku, and cinquain poems while learning how to express their thoughts in new and exciting ways. To celebrate all their hard work, the unit ended with a cozy Poetry Café. Students enjoyed drinks, snapped in support, and confidently shared their poems with friends. A wonderful way to build confidence, creativity, and a love for writing. ❤️🐴🖤 #MustangPride

Today, Mrs. Martin’s science students had a special visit from Tyler Cvitkovic with the NEED Project! He shared engaging insights on energy efficiency and conservation, helping students learn how to make their homes more energy efficient.
After the presentation, students worked collaboratively to design and build their own model homes following a specific code—complete with a door, windows, and insulation. It was a fun, hands-on way to review important concepts just in time for testing!

Our 2nd grade field trip to Maywoods was a fun and memorable day spent exploring the outdoors!
We loved learning about Mother Nature and how to take care of our environment. Throughout the day, we discovered how animals use camouflage to blend in, explored fascinating insects, examined creek rocks, and learned about animal survival. We even got a little wet along the way, which only added to the adventure.
It was a great day full of learning, laughter, and fresh air!
