The MVES Grandparent Soup Bean Dinner, hosted by the Family Resource Center (FRC), was a fantastic evening with over 200 attendees! Our fourth graders enjoyed a delightful book tasting at the MVES Book Café in Mrs. Shepherd’s reading class! They explored five different genres, sampled new books, and discussed their choices with friends. To top it off, everyone enjoyed a tasty snack. It was a fun and engaging way to foster a love of reading. We’re well on our way to becoming amazing readers! 🐴❤️📚

MVES playground has a new addition: a Buddy Bench! This simple yet powerful tool promotes kindness and inclusivity. Kids can sit on the bench if they feel lonely, signaling others to join in and play. It's a small gesture with a big impact on building a supportive community. Our fourth graders had a blast during the "Save Fred" team-building activity today in reading class! The students worked together to rescue Fred the gummy worm from a cup using only paper clips. It was amazing to see their problem-solving skills, creativity, and teamwork in action.
