Mrs. Jennifer's class likes "dressing up" the fruits and veggies from the cafeteria, Mrs. Lori and her staff.

Our 4th grade reading classes practiced important comprehension skills today with a “What’s in the Bag?” mystery game! Students described items using evidence, while their classmates made predictions based on the clues. It was wonderful to see each class working together, using critical thinking, and supporting one another as readers and learners. 📚✨

🔴🟠🟡MVES Celebrates Dot Day!🟢🔵🟣
Our Mustangs showed off their creativity for International Dot Day, inspired by Peter Reynolds’ book The Dot. Students embraced the challenge to “make a mark and see where it takes you,” while also living out our Leader in Me Paradigms:
🌟 Everyone Can Be a Leader – Students took initiative by sharing their unique ideas and talents.
🌟 Everyone Has Genius – Each student’s creation celebrated the special gifts and creativity inside them.
🌟 Change Starts With Me – Just like a single dot, small actions and ideas grew into something bigger, inspiring classmates and friends.
We are so proud of our Mustangs for using Dot Day to highlight leadership, creativity, and the genius within!

Today MVES went #BlueforGreene to show our appreciation for the Parsons family! This incredible family has an online shop full of cool gear to bring awareness for Arthrogryposis Multiplex Congenita, or “AMC”. They also use this opportunity to highlight the need for inclusion. Proceeds from their last sale were all given to MVES for our inclusive playground! Our staff at MVES value and love all of our students, believing all are ABLE!
We want to thank the Parsons family for partnering with us as we make fun accessible for ALL!

Our 4th and 5th grade students participated in the Why Internet Safety is Essential (WISE) classroom program designed for students in grades 4-6 presented by the OPERATION UNITE Area Prevention Coordinator, Robin Brock.
The program, used interactive teaching techniques, educated students on the dangers of the Internet, described potential consequences, and told students the best way to respond to cyber-bullying. We appreciate Mrs. Robin for spending the morning with us and sharing this valuable information for our 4th and 5th grade Mustangs.

FRC After-School Enrichment kicked off today!
Our 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders had a great time playing games, working on STEM activities, and enjoying other fun learning experiences together.

Don’t forget, tomorrow is High Attendance Day.
There *may* be a surprise for every Mustang that is at school!

Will work for STICKERS! 🎉 Our 5th graders have been working hard this week—and it shows! 💪📚
During our figurative language lesson, students rotated through learning stations and tackled metaphors, similes, idioms, and more with focus and determination. 🧠✨
It was incredible to see them collaborating, thinking critically, and having fun while deepening their understanding of language. Way to go, 5th grade—you made this lesson come alive! 💬🔥

Thank you to the Kiwanis Club of Rockcastle County for your generous $300 donation to our schools’ Snack Pack Programs! Your continued support helps us provide for students and makes a lasting impact across Rocket Nation. 🚀❤️
