MVES students gathered at the pole to pray for their peers, teachers, staff, principals and school community. Mr. Cliff spoke to the students about seeking first to understand their peers and the importance of treating them with Christ-like love. Mustang Student Ministry leaders and Praise & Worship Team lead students in song. MSM leaders, Ryder Parker & Easton Coffey, led the group in prayer.

First grade is learning all about apples! For All In for Ag Week, Mrs. Shepherd’s class watched a video of Representative Jared Bauman reading The Apple Orchard Riddle. Before watching, students predicted what shape they would find inside an apple and how many seeds it would have. After the characters solved the riddle in the book, Mrs. Shepherd cut open an apple so the class could make the same discovery for themselves!

Mrs. Michelle Martin’s science class learned about dairy farming today with a little cheese tasting! Students became scientists as they used their senses to observe different kinds of cheese before trying them.
Thank you to our MVES cafeteria ladies for helping with supplies and to Mrs. Casaundra for preparing the individual cups!

For All In for Ag week Mr. Brown and Ms. Kandace’s class went on a virtual field trip to an apple orchard. We learned about what a farmer needs to grow apples and how to harvest them. Afterwards, students made apple butter and got to try it on a biscuit and some of their very own homemade butter.

Ms. Hallie’s 4th Grade Science class went on a virtual field trip to Meade Tractor in Madison County!
Students got an inside look at farm equipment, how these big machines work, and the important role safety plays on the farm. They got to see equipment in action, learn about all the buttons and controls, and hear from Commissioner Jonathan Shell, Commissioner Robbie Fletcher, a farm equipment expert, and a young professional working in the agriculture industry.
It was such a fun, hands-on way to connect what we’re learning in the classroom to the real world!
