Rockcastle County Schools is excited to welcome Mr. Matthew Brown as the new Assistant Principal of Mt. Vernon Elementary School! 🎉 Mr. Brown brings over 15 years of teaching experience at RCHS and has served as Assistant Principal at Garrard Middle School for the past three years. We’re thrilled to have him back in Rocket Country and know he’ll be a great addition to the MVES team! 🚀

Although the weather didn’t cooperate, fourth grade students still had a fantastic day at MVES! Students rotated through various rooms for a fun and creative indoor “field day” experience! After lunch, we wrapped up the day with more activities in the gym.

What a night at the Rising Rockets Gala! Our amazing 5th grade students and teachers came together to celebrate the end of their elementary school journey. The evening was filled with joy, laughter, and moments they’ll never forget. A huge shout-out to our fifth grade teachers for putting this event together for our Rising Rockets. They put in a lot of time and energy to ensure these fifth graders had a wonderful time.

The first 10 students that completed the i-Ready Challenge won a fabulous prize!
